Assignment CSV
Export the current assignment as a CSV file: one row per assigned signal, ready for a spreadsheet, schematic notes or a script that generates a firmware header.
Export it
Solve first, then open Export in the top bar and choose Export assignment CSV. The option is disabled until there is an assignment to export.
Columns
| Column | What it holds |
|---|---|
request | The ID of the requirement the signal belongs to. |
signal | The signal’s ID. It is stable across edits, so use it as the key when joining with other data. |
name | The name you gave the signal, if any. Display only; it never replaces the ID. |
instance | The peripheral instance used, for example USART2. |
role | The signal’s role within the peripheral, for example tx, if it has one. |
channel | The channel used, for example an ADC input, if it has one. |
terminal | The package pin. |
pad | The die pad behind that pin. |
route | The signal route through the pin multiplexer. |
regions | The package sides or regions the pin is on, space-separated. |
settings | Configuration the mapping relies on, as space-separated setting=value pairs. |
Safe to open in a spreadsheet
- Values with commas, quotes or line breaks are quoted the standard way (RFC 4180).
- A value that starts with
=,+,-,@, a tab or a carriage return gets a leading apostrophe, so a spreadsheet never runs it as a formula. - Rows are sorted by signal ID, so exporting the same result twice gives an identical file.
