Runs in your browser ​

MuxMage is a web page. There is nothing to install and no account to make, and the solver runs on your machine.

What runs where ​

  • The solver is compiled to WebAssembly and runs in a background worker in your browser tab. Your requirements are never sent anywhere to be solved.
  • The independent checker that confirms every result runs in your browser too.
  • Device data for the supported parts is downloaded as static files from muxmage.com when you pick a part.

What’s stored where ​

Projects and their history are saved in your browser’s storage on this device. There is no MuxMage server that holds them. Export a project as JSON to back it up or move it.

What is sent ​

Usage statistics, as described in the privacy policy. Analytics cookies are used only if you accept them.

Long solves ​

The solver works within a fixed search budget, and Cancel stops it. When it runs out of budget before finding an answer, the result says “unknown”, never “impossible”.
